Aardex Receives Double LEED Platinum From USGBCThe firm is one of only two in the world to achieve this distinctionBy Mike Hehir, Sales, Aardex LLC
Aardex LLC, a full service design and construction services firm, announced that it has received its second LEED Platinum certification from the United States Green Building Council for Commercial Interiors at the Signature Centre at Denver West. The Signature Centre is located at 14143 Denver West Parkway. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. The company becomes one of two design/build firms in the world to reach this milestone. “Our headquarters at Signature Centre are now LEED Platinum inside and out. And, we did it at standard construction costs,” said Aardex CEO Rick Butler, whose firm developed, designed, constructed and now manages the Signature Centre. “Sustainability is about common sense, not extra costs.” Signature Centre won the National NAIOP “Green Development of the Year Award” for 2007.
